Service Request Management

Service Manager is the focal point where all requests for service can be entered. Requests for service can fall into 4 categories, each of them associated with a specific life-cycle. When you categorize each type of request (your service catalog), Service Manager can send it down its appropriate life-cycle.

For example, if it is a small request, a single task is created. If it is a medium-sized one, a multi-task process is spawned. Service Manager includes this functionality out-of-the-box. With an interface to ActionPortfolio Manager and ActionProgram Manager, large requests can go through a proposed project stage-gate approval process, or not, usually depending on the priority.
